Now more than ever, as public funds are stretched beyond their limit with educational, transportation and
social service demands, the private sector needs to step in to create special opportunities for the public’s use.
Developing a park the size of Woodstock and the program of equestrian activities it envisions will take many years to accomplish.
Critical to the park's success is a partnership with the local community and equestrian community to promote the types of activities that are appropriate for this park and to oversee its upkeep and appearance.
That's where the Woodstock Equestrian Park Foundation (formerly Friends of Woodstock Equestrian Park) comes in.
Through a public-private partnership with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Woodstock Equestrian Park Foundation (WEPF) this partnership is working to ensure the appropriate use of Woodstock Equestrian Park as a public equestrian facility in Montgomery County.
And we need YOUR help to ensure that the Woodstock Equestrian Park becomes a reality!

Vision Statement
I envision the Park as a premier equestrian destination that includes trails, courses, rings and indoor facilities
to be used by equestrians of all disciplines.
Competitions will be held at the Park and the casual trail rider will be accommodated too. The Park will contribute to the economy of the surrounding community and preserve the rural nature of its 800 acres of land, much of which is still being farmed today.
Woodstock will therefore honor the area’s rural tradition and history and remain true to the rural character of Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve, the 91,000 acre crescent of land in which it resides.
