The park is being developed through the vision and generosity of Hermen and Monica Greenberg and the late William Rickman Sr. and his family, and is sponsored through a public-private partnership with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and the Woodstock Equestrian Park Foundation (WEPF).

This partnership is working to ensure the appropriate use of Woodstock Equestrian Park as a public equestrian facility in Montgomery County.

Blackburn Architects was selected to be the design team for the development of Woodstock Equestrian Park. Blackburn has earned a national reputation as a specialist in equestrian architecture for the design of facilities for all equine disciplines. Its barns have become the standard-bearer for design excellence focused on the health and safety of the horse.
